Lincoln Community Network produces a newsletter every quarter which includes information about training opportunities, funding pots and projects being run by local community groups. It also offers the Voluntary and Community Secor (VCS) an opportunity to be updated on the work and the plans of Lincoln'a Local Strategic Partnership (LSP).

The thinking behind this Directory is to raise the profile of Lincoln’s community and voluntary sector organisations:
- To enable us within the community and voluntary sector to have accessible contact information about each other
- To enable the statutory sector to have accessible contact information about community and voluntary sector organisations
- To profile the wide ranging number of organisations who make up the community and voluntary sector and showcase the contribution that the sector is making to keep the City a vibrant, caring and cohesive city
